If you are a professor and would like to examine a book for classroom adoption, please proceed by:
Examination Policy at a GlanceFortress Press offers complimentary examination copies of our survey textbooks. All other titles are available at a 50% discount. Shipping of all examination and desk copies is complimentary. See below for details. Fortress Press Examination PolicyFortress Press invites professors to examine our titles for classroom use in courses with an enrollment of 10 or more students. All Fortress Press titles are available on a 60 day examination basis. Survey TextbooksWe are proud to offer complimentary copies of our survey textbooks. For a list of these titles, please click here. Your examination copy of a survey textbook will arrive at no charge. Shipping of these examination copies is complimentary. All Other Titles (Non Survey Textbooks)All other Fortress Press titles, with the exception of those noted below, are available for examination for classroom use at a 50% discount. An invoice reflecting the 50% discount will be mailed separately on the date the book is shipped. Shipping of these examination copies is complimentary. If within 60 days of the book's ship date you decide to adopt the book for your course, please contact the appropriate Textbook Adoption Consultant as indicated below. Your examination copy will then become complimentary. A credit memo will be sent acknowledging the cancellation of your invoice. If you decide not to adopt the book you may either pay the invoice reflecting the 50% discount or return the book in saleable condition. Books being returned require a return authorization number. Please call 1-800-265-6397 to receive a return authorization number. Returns may then be sent to:
