  • Patti Arthur is a full time mom and wife, and the part time Lay Licensed Minister of a wonderful ELCA congregation in Toms Brook, Virginia. She is passionate about helping God's children of every age grow in faith and knowledge of God's grace. In her spare time, she spends time in her garden, sewing, beading, and writing curriculum and other educational materials.

  • Lou Carlozo has been led by the grace of God to wear many a hat: Chicago Tribune editor and national DVD columnist, award-winning songwriter, author, journalism professor, and ace diaper changer of a toddler daughter who can scream louder than a Mack truck horn. He lives in Chicago with his wife Amy, a hospital chaplain, and five-year-old son Christopher, an imp.

  • Melanie Heuiser Hill is a Mom and ELCA pastor. She loves coming up with fun and simple ideas that equip families for lifelong faith formation. Melanie, her husband, and their two kids live in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. They enjoy most everything from celebrating the church seasons to hiking and camping to reading really good books to baking bread.

  • Jill C. Lafferty was the production editor for Splash! She is a freelance editor, writer, and typesetter based in Burnsville, Minnesota. She enjoys hiking and biking with her husband and daughter, and is expecting a second child in June 2007.

  • Tera Michelson is a Splash! contributor and full-time Mama Duck to three in Davenport, Iowa. She is also a food writer, creating a range of recipes with tasty, faith-based connections that kids of many ages can prepare and enjoy.

  • Peter and Kathie Nycklemoe enjoyed writing the Godparent Guide based on questions they often hear from anxious parents. They currently spend their days learning about parenting from Marin, Karl, and Sam, and god-parenting from Tanner, Randi, Alex and Karin. At present they serve as pastors of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Rochester, MN, and enjoy the occasional writing project.

  • Suzanne Richterkessing is a longtime curriculum writer for Augsburg Fortress with over twenty years worth of writing educational materials for kids from birth through sixth grade. She watches birds and picks flowers at her home in the mountains of North Georgia. She is Kathy and Erin’s mother and Aislinn’s grandmother.

  • Dawn Rundman is the lead editor for Splash! and a senior editor for birth to three and intergenerational resources at Augsburg Fortress. She earned a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Oregon where she studied infant brain development when that discipline was in its infancy. Dawn lives in the Twin Cities where she enjoys lots of lakes and laughter with her husband and two children.

  • Kathleen Lull Seaton enjoys writing curriculum materials and resources for young children and their families. She is the director of a prekindergarten program in suburban Philadelphia. She and her husband, Paul, are parents of five children.

  • Debbie Trafton O'Neal is an author, educator and consultant in the Seattle area. She has taught Kindergarten at Grace Lutheran School for 17 years, and still loves the wonder and curiosity of those early childhood years. Her three daughters are now in their twenties, and she lives with her husband, several cats and dogs and birds, on Steel Lake where she watches real live ducks swim every day!
